"Au calme" is the fifth chapter of the remote collaboration between Mathieu and Emmanuel; a title which stands for "have some peace", or "cool down".
'Floating', suspended between air and water, has been one the leitmotivs of our sonic exploration; like a slow wind-propelled exchange between far Canada and Finland, layered over time, dense but appeased.
Both the artwork and music are lovely. Lonely but comforting. Close your eyes and drift away. The second half will, however, make you feel a sense of the inevitable.
My one complaint is that the track Hyperbox feels totally out of place. The album also has some issues with its flow. Other than that, a very enjoyable light ambient release. Tuukka Junnikkala

Stunning synthwork and chaotic rhythms define the excellent new album from Racine, which feels set in a waking nightmare. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 3, 2020
Terrific variety here...I want to draw attention to Kit's expressive field recording-based set. It's nice storytelling and I especially like the full-circle aspect of "I Grew Up Here." Scott
